Business first. AI‑powered. Yours forever.

AI consulting that starts with your business, not the technology.

We help operator-led companies understand their own work, then build the AI agents, automations, and custom software that make it better. The technology serves the business. Never the other way around.

Technology isn’t the constraint anymore. What we build now depends on how well we understand our own work and how clearly we can describe a better version of it.

AI closed the gap between an idea and a working solution.

Tim Anderson, Founder

The shift

Build versus buy: how AI changed everything.

What we used to tell clients

“Never build your own software unless you plan to sell it.”

Custom software took so long and cost so much that by the time it was good, you’d make more money selling the software than running your business.

What we tell them now

Highly customized software is the new strategy.

AI agents and automations do the work. An AI Brain holds the knowledge. Custom software is designed around both, built in weeks and shaped to how you operate.

The reversal is the point. Tim spent 25 years telling clients not to build custom software. When the economics flipped, so did the advice.

How we work

The TechPerspective Method

Most AI projects start with the technology and go looking for a problem. Ours start with your business and earn their way to the build.

01

Understand

Deep discovery of your business, people, and processes. The deliverable is your AI Brain, a working knowledge asset rather than a slide deck.

02

Describe

We describe the better version of your work, clearly: a ranked roadmap of automations, quick wins, and tools worth building.

03

Build

A first build chosen to pay for itself, then agents, automations, and custom software designed around your AI Brain.

04

Evolve

We stay on to tune, extend, and train your team so the system keeps getting better instead of drifting out of date.

Our flagship

The AI Brain: your company’s knowledge, working.

A centralized, living repository of how your company actually works, co-created with your team. It makes your people smarter and your AI possible.

Knowledge layer

Your processes, decisions, and institutional know-how, made durable and machine-readable.

Agent layer

AI agents and automations that start every task with full company context.

Software layer

Custom tools, sites, and apps designed around the layers beneath them.

For your people

Faster, better decisions. One source of truth. Onboarding that takes days, not months.

For your AI

Every agent, automation, and tool starts with deep context, which makes everything built afterward faster and better.

Built with your team, so the knowledge is genuinely yours and stays yours.

The opportunity

Keep the big systems. Own the rest.

You’ll still pay for an ERP and maybe a CRM. But the dozen subscriptions around them? Those are now tools you can own, shaped to your process, with no per-seat fees.

Survey & feedback platforms

Replaced Qualtrics-class tooling with a client-owned system wired straight into their operations.

Scheduling software

Replaced Calendly-class booking with tools that know the client’s teams, rules, and calendars.

Live chat & support

Replaced Chat 24/7-class services with AI-powered chat that actually knows the business.

Real replacements we’ve already delivered. Each one cut recurring cost, fit the process better than the subscription ever did, and became an asset the client owns.

Track record

This isn’t theory. We’ve been doing it.

100+

AI agents designed and overseen in production

Hundreds

of AI-powered tools delivered to operating companies

25 yrs

of technology leadership for growing companies

The result, every time: revenue up, expenses down, measured against baselines we set before we build, at operating companies from $10M to $100M+ in revenue.

Deep domain experience
Home builders · Property management · Residential treatment · Dental & chiropractic practices · Medical offices. And we adapt fast to any operator-led business.

Engagement models

Two ways to work with us.

Track 1

Consulting Partnership

You own everything we build, outright.

  • Fractional CIO leadership without the CIO payroll
  • Discovery, then your AI Brain, then quick-win builds, then a retainer
  • We stay on to tune, extend, and train your team
  • Best when the tools are your competitive edge

Track 2

Build & Own Together

Your tool becomes a business of its own.

  • A separate entity owns the tool and you keep majority ownership
  • TechPerspective holds equity and guides as CIO
  • Reduced build fees, because we’re invested in the outcome
  • Sell it to peers in other markets when it proves out

Same method either way. The difference is who owns the upside.

Getting started

A path that earns the next step.

  1. Strategy session

Two hours with the founder. Ungated recommendations you can act on, with or without us.

    Free
  2. Discovery sprint

Two to four weeks of deep discovery. Deliverable: your AI Brain plus a ranked automation roadmap.

    Fixed fee
  3. Quick-win build

The first proof of concept, chosen to pay for itself. Working software, not a demo.

    Fixed project fee
  4. Ongoing partnership

Fractional CIO leadership: tuning, new builds, training, or the Build & Own equity track.

    Monthly retainer

Every step de-risks the next: you see real value before any long-term commitment.

AI doesn’t take jobs. It takes the minutia.

Every company carries a deep backlog of problems worth solving that never get addressed, because the daily grind always wins. People willing to adapt and automate don’t become replaceable. They become the most valuable people in the building. That’s why every rollout we do comes with overcommunication, real training, and a first build that removes a pain your team hates.

Tim Anderson, founder of TechPerspective

About the founder

Meet Tim Anderson

My start in technology wasn’t a bootcamp or a big-firm rotation. It was a neighbor named Jim. He’d become a full-time caretaker late in life and taught himself computers to fill the hours. I was eleven and curious, so he took me under his wing: computer repair, systems, some programming. Most of what I’ve built since traces back to what Jim gave me, and one of the great pleasures of my life is passing it down. I always have a few apprentices working alongside me for exactly that reason.

I started my first tech consulting company at 16 and founded TDA Computers at 21. I studied technology and economics at Utah State University, and in 2008 founded Veyo Services, the CIO consulting practice that became TechPerspective. More recently I co-founded an AI company and served as its CEO. Along the way I’ve worked deeply with home builders, large property management companies, dental and chiropractic practices, medical offices, and residential treatment centers.

In 2025 the practice shifted to AI-first consulting. The approach didn’t change: the business comes first, always. What changed is what’s possible. I get genuine joy from seeing a problem, building the fix, and watching a client’s team succeed with it. That entrepreneurial itch has never left.

Away from work, I’ve been married to my wife Kelly for 20 years and we have five children. You’ll find us skiing, rock climbing, or on a family trip somewhere. TechPerspective is based in Draper, Utah, and works with companies nationwide.

Common questions

Straight answers before you call.

Do we need to be technical to work with you?

No. Most of our clients don’t have a CIO or an IT department. We speak operator, and translating your business into working technology is the job.

How fast will we see results?

The first build is chosen to pay for itself, and your team is typically using working software within weeks of discovery, not months.

Is our company data safe?

Everything we build ships with permissions, gates, and human checkpoints. We use business-grade AI services that don’t train on your data, and your AI Brain and tools live in accounts you own.

What does it cost?

The two-hour strategy session is free. Discovery and the first build are fixed fees you approve up front. Ongoing work is a monthly retainer. You see real value before any long-term commitment.

Do you replace our IT team or our software?

No. You keep your core systems like your ERP, CRM, and accounting. We replace the expensive subscriptions around them with tools you own, and if you have IT staff, we work alongside them.
